Dura

Dura: One of the largest and oldest quarters of Istivin, rises from the plateau just south of Lakeshore. But as Istivin has grown over the centuries, Dura has been left behind. Today, many consider it a blight on the city, riddled as it is with poverty and crime. Dura is home to the majority of the lower classes of Istivin, and Lower Dura is generally considered to be little better than the Cogs. Nonetheless, Dura is the gateway to the Bright River. Cargo passes up from the Crescent through Dura, and most of the vast warehouse quarters are located in the lower ward. The Bazaar of Dura is a source for all manner of unusual goods, including a wide range of illegal merchandise. Dura may be dangerous and dirty, but it is certainly a gateway to adventure.
Fallen: Fallen is the worst ward in a bad quarter. 80 years ago the ancient Imperium magics that held the magnificent Glass Tower aloft failed. The tower fell to earth, causing horrendous devastation in the ward then known as Godsgate. A poor area to begin with, Godsgate never recovered, and is now known as Fallen, an area shunned by the citizens of Istivin.
White Wall: This quite district is essentially Istivin’s necropolis. Although most bodies are cremated, a few wealthy individuals are interred within the catacombs that honeycomb the stone beneath White Wall. At the center of the district stands the ominous Toewer Macabre, the seat of the Cabal of Wee Jas in Istivin, and the custodians of the hundreds who die each day in the great city.
